We provide personalized support to help students thrive academically and prepare for the next step in their educational journey. From course selection and time management to exploring majors and navigating the college application process, our team is here to guide you every step of the way. Whether you choose to remain at 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ after your year in our program or apply to another institution, our goal is to help you make informed decisions, stay on track, and feel confident about your future. 

Your primary advisor will be the Associate Director of The 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ School, who will assist you starting the summer before enrollment and throughout the year. They will help you select courses that fulfill your high school requirements, align with your intended major, or simply match your interests.

91¶ÌÊÓÆµ School students take the same courses as 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ first-years and can pursue coursework in more than 60 majors and minors. The only course taken exclusively as a 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ School cohort is PE100 – First Year Seminar (while other first-year students take FY100).

91¶ÌÊÓÆµ is renowned for its hands-on learning. As a 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ School student, you might launch your own business, help build a solar car, or conduct biomedical research alongside esteemed faculty. Collaborating on real-world projects with 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ students and professors will deepen your understanding of your major and future career possibilities. Many exciting options await you!

We are committed to your success. Beyond personalized advising, The 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ School offers tutoring in major courses such as Calculus, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in the Price Hall Honors classroom, located adjacent to student housing.  Tutors are typically 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ School alumni or Honors students.

The University also provides a variety of academic support services, including:

Each semester, three progress reports are requested from professors to provide feedback on your academic performance. Follow-up meetings are scheduled as needed with the Associate Director of The 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ School.

These reports are shared with students and their families, based on the Student Information Release Authorization form on file with Student Achievement Services (SAS). For certain information to be released to a third party, a signed authorization form is required.

At the start of the fall semester, the Director of The 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ School leads college application workshops to guide and support you through each step of the process. Every student receives a College Resource Guide and personalized assistance with applications, personal statements and essays, interview preparation, and recommendation requests. To help you submit your strongest work with confidence, all application materials are reviewed prior to submission.  Support continues into the spring semester, with guidance on waitlist responses, appeal letters, financial aid questions, and final decision-making. Our goal is to ensure every student feels prepared, supported, and proud of what they submit—and confident in the choices they make.

While many 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ School students continue at 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ as sophomores, you have the freedom to transfer to other colleges and universities—including Ivy League schools, major research universities, and highly selective liberal arts colleges. Most students enter these institutions with advanced standing, typically enrolling in sophomore-level courses the following year.
