William MacKinnon Promoted to Associate Professor on the Teaching Track at 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ
William MacKinnon has been promoted from assistant professor on the teaching track to associate professor of operations and information systems in the David D. Reh School of Business at 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ.

MacKinnon has been at 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ for over 30 years, beginning his career as a computer technician in the Educational Computing department. He earned his bachelor's and master's degrees at 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ while working as a computer technician, then IT Coordinator, and finally Instructor in the School of Business. He went on to earn his Ph.D. in Management at Carleton University in Ottawa and became an Assistant Professor in the Operations & Information Systems area of the School of Business.
He concentrates his research in the adoption and implementation of enterprise systems, information systems in health care, and electronic medical records systems.
He teaches courses on data analytics, information systems for supply chain management, global experience, decision analysis, optimization methods, and a seminar on international business.
He was recently elected Chair of the Faculty Senate.
He is a lifelong resident of the North Country. His outside interests include being active in his church, fishing, farming, and woodworking.
